About NFESD:
The National Forum for Environment and Sustainable Development (NFESD) is a Yemeni civil, non-governmental, non-profit organization that was established in Yemen in 2021. The forum is working in areas related to the environment, sustainable development in Yemen.
About the Program:
The NFESD Innovation and Solutions Program is dedicated to developing and implementing innovative solutions to environmental challenges. We work to identify, design, and test new technologies, approaches, and strategies to address critical environmental issues such as climate change, water scarcity, waste management, and pollution. Our program fosters creativity, collaboration, and knowledge sharing to drive environmental sustainability.
About the Volunteer Role:
We are seeking talented and motivated Program Coordinator to support the NFESD Innovation and Solutions Program. Volunteers will have the opportunity to contribute to various program activities and play a vital role in developing and implementing innovative solutions to environmental challenges. Specific volunteer roles may include:
- Idea Generation and Brainstorming: Contributing to brainstorming sessions, generating innovative ideas, and researching potential solutions to environmental problems.
- Technology Research and Development: Assisting with research on new technologies, conducting technology assessments, and contributing to the development of innovative solutions.
- Project Design and Implementation: Supporting the design and implementation of pilot projects, conducting field tests, and collecting data to evaluate the effectiveness of innovative solutions.
- Data Analysis and Reporting: Assisting with data analysis, preparing reports, and communicating findings to stakeholders.
- Communication and Outreach: Contributing to communication and outreach efforts, including developing presentations, creating educational materials, and disseminating information about innovative solutions.
- Partnership Building: Assisting with building partnerships with other organizations, research institutions, and technology providers to collaborate on innovative solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Participate in program activities as assigned.
- Work collaboratively with program staff and other volunteers.
- Follow program guidelines and procedures.
- Attend relevant meetings and training sessions.
- Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Conduct research, analyze data, and prepare reports as needed.
- Contribute to the development and implementation of innovative solutions.
- Adhere to the organization’s volunteer policies.
Qualifications:
- Passion for innovation, technology, and environmental sustainability.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and creative thinking skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and independently.
- Willingness to learn and adapt.
- Relevant skills and experience in areas such as environmental science, engineering, technology, design thinking, or project management are desirable but not required.
- Fluency in English Language.
